These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Travel Nursing Compass ("TNC", "we", "our", "us") services, including our website, recruiter outreach, and SMS communications. By submitting your information, replying to our messages, or otherwise engaging with our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
Our services are intended for licensed registered nurses (RN) and other healthcare professionals legally authorized to work in the United States. You must be at least 18 years old.
2. SMS Communication Terms
2.1 Consent
By providing your mobile phone number via our website opt-in form, by replying START to a recruiter SMS, or by checking an SMS consent checkbox on a partner platform (e.g., Vivian Health), you consent to receive recurring SMS text messages from Travel Nursing Compass.
2.2 Message Content
SMS messages from us include:
- Notifications about open travel nursing contract opportunities matching your profile
- Contract details (location, shift, pay, duration, start date)
- Application and credentialing follow-up
- Scheduling for recruiter calls
- Reminders related to active job submissions
2.3 Message Frequency
Frequency varies based on job availability and the stage of your engagement, typically 1 to 10 messages per week. We do not send promotional or marketing messages unrelated to recruitment.
2.4 Charges
Standard carrier message and data rates may apply. Travel Nursing Compass does not charge any fee for SMS messages. Charges, if any, come from your mobile carrier.
2.5 Opting Out
You may opt out at any time by replying STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to any text. You will receive a confirmation message and no further SMS will be sent.
2.6 Help
Reply HELP to any SMS to receive support contact info. You can also email nick@travelnursingcompass.com or call (571) 678-2044.
2.7 Carriers
Major U.S. carriers (T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, etc.) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
2.8 Re-Subscription
If you've previously opted out, reply START to (814) 546-5580 to resubscribe.
2.9 SMS Sender Number
SMS messages are sent from (814) 546-5580 via Twilio. Voice calls and call-back support use (571) 678-2044.
3. Your Information & Submission
By providing your information, you authorize TNC to:
- Contact you via SMS, phone, and email regarding job opportunities
- Match you to relevant healthcare facility contracts
- Submit your profile (resume, credentials, references) to facilities considering you for placement, only after you've agreed to be submitted for a specific opportunity
- Coordinate credentialing and onboarding for accepted assignments
4. Accuracy of Information
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. Misrepresentation of nursing licensure, certifications, work history, or eligibility may result in disqualification from placement and is potentially subject to legal action.
5. No Guarantees
TNC is a recruiting service. We do not guarantee placement, specific pay rates, or contract availability. All assignments are subject to facility approval, credentialing completion, and contract terms set by the hiring facility.
6. Pay & Compensation
Pay packages quoted by your recruiter are estimates based on facility offers at the time of communication. Final pay is determined by your signed contract. Non-taxable per diem, stipends, and bonuses are subject to IRS guidelines and your individual tax situation. We recommend consulting a tax professional regarding travel nursing compensation.
7. Privacy
Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
8. Intellectual Property
The content on travelnursingcompass.online (logos, copy, design, code) is owned by Travel Nursing Compass. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TNC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services or SMS communications.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TNC and its employees from any claims arising out of your breach of these Terms or your violation of any law or third-party right.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Fairfax County, Virginia.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. The "Last Updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
